Monday, 24 March 2014 16:49
A big congratulation to our seven Bristol Empire Dragons who made it onto the 2014 Great Britain Dragonboat Squad. After a wet winter and minimal on the water training the following paddlers proved themselves worthy at last weekend’s time trials:
Alan Rook – Junior
Billy Dance - Junior
Claudia Coleman - Junior
Will Rooks – Junior
Julia Clarke – Premier
Ginette Corr – Senior
Dave Faulkner – Grand Dragon
Gary Corr – Grand Dragon
Ian Elliott – Grand Dragon
In addition to the above paddlers, Rob Rooks has been elected as the Coach for the Junior Team.
We wish them all the best of luck for representing GB at the European Dragon Boat Federation (EDBF) European Nations Championships in Racice, Czech Republic in July 2014.

Great to have a full boat out on the river today, with a good mix of experienced and novice paddlers taking on the highest tide this year. Thanks to Gary and Ginette for taking their C2 to the club houses and paddling the C2 with dragon boat in tow to somewhere dry for the reast of the team to get in it and then a return paddle back to the club house to get spare paddles. A big thank you to all who turned up I hope you enjoyed the session and will return next week for another go?Chinese New Year Exhibition at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

Still a strong flow but looking like it's now ok to return with caution. Do not go out alone and you must wear a BAPage 3 of 26
